PREGNANT PASSENGER TRAVEL POLICY
Shree Airlines Ltd. is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and passenger care. For the safety of the expectant mother, unborn child, and other passengers, travel by pregnant passengers is subject to the requirements, documentation, and restrictions set out below.
Passengers who are pregnant are responsible for determining their medical suitability for air travel and are strongly advised to consult their attending medical doctor or gynecologist before undertaking any journey.
- SINGLE PREGNANCY
The following travel restrictions shall apply to passengers with a single pregnancy:

- MULTIPLE PREGNANCY
The following travel restrictions shall apply to passengers with multiple pregnancies:

- MEDICAL CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS
Where a medical certificate is required under this policy, the passenger must present a valid certificate meeting all of the following requirements:
- The certificate must be issued and signed by the passenger’s attending medical doctor.
- The certificate must be issued on the official letterhead of a registered hospital or clinic.
- The certificate must have been issued within seven (7) days prior to the date of travel.
- The certificate must clearly specify whether the pregnancy is single or multiple.
- The certificate must clearly state the passenger’s current number of weeks of pregnancy and/or Expected Date of Delivery (EDD).
- The certificate must expressly confirm that the passenger is medically fit to travel by air / fit to fly.
- The certificate must be clearly written and easily understood in English or Nepali.
Shree Airlines reserves the right to verify the validity and adequacy of any medical certificate presented and may refuse carriage where the required documentation is incomplete, unclear, expired, inconsistent, or otherwise does not satisfy the requirements of this policy.
- PRESENTATION OF MEDICAL DOCUMENTS
The passenger shall be responsible for carrying the original medical certificate throughout the journey.
Shree Airlines may request the passenger to present the original certificate at check-in, boarding, or at any other stage of the journey where deemed necessary.
Submission of a medical certificate does not automatically guarantee acceptance for travel. Final acceptance for carriage remains subject to compliance with Shree Airlines’ applicable policies and operational and safety requirements.
- DECLARATION OF PREGNANCY
Passengers are responsible for providing accurate information regarding their pregnancy status and gestational period when requested by Shree Airlines.
Where a passenger declares that she is less than 28 weeks pregnant, no medical certificate will ordinarily be required, subject to the passenger otherwise meeting all applicable travel requirements.
Any false, incomplete, or misleading declaration may result in refusal of carriage where necessary for safety or regulatory compliance.
- MEDICAL ADVICE
Pregnancy may involve individual medical circumstances that cannot be assessed solely on the basis of gestational age. Accordingly, Shree Airlines strongly recommends that all pregnant passengers consult their attending medical doctor or gynecologist before traveling, regardless of the stage of pregnancy.
Where a passenger has any medical complication or condition associated with pregnancy, the passenger should obtain appropriate medical advice before making travel arrangements.
- TRAVEL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR EXPECTANT MOTHERS
For the passenger’s comfort and safety, Shree Airlines recommends that pregnant passengers:
- Travel with a companion whenever practicable.
- Request adjacent seating with their companion during seats assignment.
- Request an aisle seat to facilitate movement and access to the lavatory.
- Keep the seat belt securely fastened whenever seated, particularly during periods of turbulence. The seat belt should be positioned comfortably and should not be unnecessarily tight.
- Carry all relevant medical records, medical certificates, and other pregnancy-related documents in hand baggage for easy access.
- Follow appropriate medical advice regarding hydration, movement, and general travel during pregnancy.
- RIGHT TO REFUSE CARRIAGE
Notwithstanding the above provisions, Shree Airlines reserves the right, in accordance with applicable aviation safety requirements and its operational procedures, to refuse or restrict carriage of a pregnant passenger where the passenger does not satisfy the applicable requirements, fails to provide required documentation, or where carriage is considered incompatible with flight safety or applicable regulations.
The applicable pregnancy period shall be determined based on the date of travel, and the passenger is responsible for ensuring that all required documentation remains valid on the date of travel.
- POLICY COMPLIANCE
By booking and/or presenting herself for travel, the pregnant passenger acknowledges and agrees to comply with this policy and any additional instructions issued by Shree Airlines personnel in relation to her travel.
Shree Airlines may amend, revise, or update this policy from time to time in accordance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, aviation safety standards, and operational considerations.
